Over $20,000 in Scholarship Money will be awarded from The Erie County Fair and Hamburg Casino

Scholarships are open to any student who participate in ANY of the Erie County Fair departments, activities or operations.  Involvement is required.

Seniors in high school and college students through their junior year are eligible to apply.  Download an application here.   Scholarships will be acknowledged in June to students who are enrolled in a higher education program at an accredited college or university.  Awards will be presented during the annual Erie County Fair.

To qualify for a scholarship from the Erie County Agricultural Society, students must be enrolling or already enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing studies in any, but not limited to the following fields:  Agriculture, Agri-Business, Business/Liberal Arts, Ecology and Environmental Technology, Family & Consumer Sciences, Flora-culture, Home Economics/Industrial Arts, Horticulture, Forestry & Natural Resources or Veterinary Medicine and Veterinary Technology.

Scholarships awarded from the Hamburg Casino will be awarded to students pursuing other fields of education and that have shown participation during the Erie County Fair. Fair participation can be obtained by enterting in one of the many competitive exhibits and by participating in the Erie County Fair Marching Band as as through various other types of employment and activities.

Statewide Scholarships Available From New York State Association of Agricultural Fairs and New York State Showpeople's Association

The New York State Association of Agricultural Fairs (NYSAAF) and the New York  State Showpeople's Association will present 10 scholarships statewide to New York State high schools enioors and also students enrolled in college who are pursuing a degree in a field related to agriculture, fair management or the outdoor amusement business.

Qualifying students must be active at the Erie County Fair.  All applicants from Erie County must submit their applications through the Erie County Fair no later than Friday, April 13, 2012.
