The Erie County Fair is now accepting applications for the 2018 Marching Band!
This ensemble is open to musicians and color guard members, or dancers who are interested in color guard, currently in grades 7 through 12. This is an excellent and enjoyable opportunity for students to continue developing their confidence and musical skills throughout the summer months, while meeting students from other districts and providing entertainment to the community.

Looking For

Students Currently in Grades 7-12 who have:
Experience reading music
Experience playing brass, woodwind or percussion instruments OR
Experience dancing or spinning flag, rifle or sabre
Reliable transportation to and from the Fairgrounds
Current or recent involvement in a school band program
Experience marching is preferred but not required

Please read carefully and fill in all information completely. Be sure to have your Band/Color Guard Director complete the Band/Color Guard Director Recommendation Form. Completion of this application DOES NOT guarantee a performance spot with the Erie County Fair Marching Band.


Please Note!
-All members must provide their own khaki shorts or capris, white sneakers and ankle-length white socks.
-Color guard will be required to memorize all performance routines – videos will be available online for review.
-Musicians will be required to memorize up to 3 parade songs by June 30.
-If you selected “Digital Download” you are required to print and bring all music with you to the first rehearsal following Orientation on June 12.
