Two Sessions in 2019!

Applications due no later than Friday, June 21st.

Vet Camp is a half day agricultural experience for boys and girls ages 11-14, which provides participants a firsthand experience to work with Veterinarians and animals at the Erie County Fair. One session per day on August 13 & 15.

The program includes the following....

  • Pet Wellness & First Aid - Learn all about your pets and what to do in an emergency situation. Understand what your vet is looking for during a physical exam, what to look for when your pet is not feeling well and what you should have in your home pet first aid kit.
  • Dairy Cow Health - You will get the chance to learn about Farm Animal Veterinarian care. Acquire the knowledge of how to administer medication, read vitals (heart rate, temperature, respiratory), and check for healthy rumen sounds.
  • Small Ruminant Farm Animals - Gain knowledge on how to approach and handle sheep/goats, check for healthy digestion, respiratory, and proper nutrition. Have the chance to work one on one with a sheep/goat.
Each session is limited to 30 spots. It is a first come, first serve basis.
