New Competitions

How Do I Enter?

It is necessary that you view all the important information listed below in order to enter correctly.

You may enter competitions by clicking the "Enter Online" link starting April 1st. All competitions will be entered online.

  • You will be directed to another web page "Blue Ribbon Fair Online" where you will be instructed to create an account.
  • You will click on the "Entries" tab to find the classes you wish to enter.
  • You can review the classes entered on the "Review Entries" tab
  • YOU MUST go to the "Items/Checkout" tab to put in your payment information BEFORE your entry will be considered submitted.

New Competitions Added in 2024!

  • Community Garden Competition- This competition is open to School Gardens, Urban Gardens and CSAs. Each garden will submit their best collection of 8 vegetables.
  • Sprouting Chef’s- This competition is open to any school garden or school garden club! Student Garden Clubs will submit their prepared recipe (i.e. salsa) that uses at least 2 ingredients grown in their school’s garden. This competition includes showcasing the planting, growing and harvesting from the school garden club plus their recipe.
  • Baking & Junior Baking Competition - By popular demand, the Erie County Fair will be hosting Baking Competitions. There are 7 varieties of divisions for all kinds of bakers. From cookies and candy to cakes and pies. Only the top 3 out of every division will be displayed for the public. Other placings will be listed by the display as well as the winning recipes from every division will also be on display. There is also classes available for juniors (12 & Under).
  • Baked Decorating Extravaganza - For the first time and by popular demand, the Erie County Fair will be hosting a baked item decorating competition. This is an On-The-Spot Competition. On-The-Spot is defined as you will compete in the competition on site. There are 2 divisions for all kinds of decorators: cookies, and cakes. Limited to 10 entries per class. Competitors will have 1 hour to decorate their cake, cupcake, or cookie. Upon conclusion of the hour, items will be judged.
  • Chalk Art Competition - For the first time and by popular demand, the Erie County Fair will be hosting a chalk art competition. This is an On-The-Spot Competition. On-The-Spot is defined as you will compete in the competition on site. Limited to 12 entries. Competitors will have 6 hours to decorate their allotted area. Upon conclusion of the 6 hours, items will be judged.
  • Adult Lego Competition - For the first time and by popular demand, the Erie County Fair will be hosting an Adult Lego competition. This is an On-The-Spot Competition. On-The-Spot is defined as you will compete in the competition on site. Limited to 12 entries. Competitors will have 6 hours to decorate their allotted area. Upon conclusion of the 6 hours, items will be judged.
  • Quilt Square Competition - Exhibitors will submit a creative quilt square (sized from a 2 ½” x 2 ½” to 10” x 10” square). Following the fair, the quilt squares will be combined to create a larger quilt that will be auctioned off at a membership event with the proceeds to benefit the Erie County Agricultural Society Scholarship Fund.
