The Erie County Agricultural Society’s mission is to connect communities through agriculture, education, and entertainment. While you may know us as the organizers of the Erie County Fair — the Best 12 Days of Summer — our work continues year-round to support the next generation through scholarships and community programming.
Each year, we award scholarships to local high school students who participate in Fair and Society-sponsored activities. These scholarships connect young people to agriculture, business, and volunteerism while giving them the resources to pursue higher education and achieve their dreams. All because of your generosity, 2025 was another record-breaking year — we proudly awarded $105,000 to 26 deserving students. Since the 1950s, these life-changing scholarships have been shaping futures, one student at a time.
The Winter Ball, a membership fundraising event, held in December, is one of our largest events that make this incredible impact possible. Your support is more than a donation — it is an investment in the next generation of leaders. By providing a gift card, monetary donation, raffle item, or silent auction/large ticket item, you are helping create opportunity and supports the next generation of farmers, innovators, and community leaders.
Through the generosity of donations like yours, the Erie County Agricultural Society (the “Society”) will be able to continue its long history of awarding scholarships to eligible young men and women. The Society is a 501(c)3 nonprofit membership corporation. All or part of your contribution may be tax deductible as a charitable contribution. Please check with your tax advisor.Raising money for the scholarships is a year round endeavor.
