Become A Society Member

Thank you for your interest in the Erie County Agricultural Society membership.

The Society is a self-sustaining, not-for-profit membership corporation. We are not associated with Erie County government, nor do we receive any funds from local or state governmental organizations.

This year’s annual membership year runs from May 1, 2020 through April 30, 2021. The membership fee is $75.00 per person.

A Society member must be 18 years of age and over.

A Society member is entitled to the following privileges:
  1. Admission for member only to the grounds during the Fair.
  2. To exhibit in any of the departments subject to the rules and regulations of that department; and
  3. A vote at the Annual Membership Meeting.
  4. Invite to the annual Winter Ball in December
  5. Membership Newsletter

To become a member download the form, sign the affidavit, and include the name of the person who referred you to the Society. Return the NEW MEMBER APPLICATION along with your check or money order payable to the Erie County Agricultural Society Membership, 5600 McKinley Parkway, Hamburg, NY 14075. The membership must be in the name of an individual, not a corporation or organization.

The Membership Committee will meet to review all New Member applications. Potential members are encouraged to apply prior to August 1st to allow time for the review, acceptance and processing. Applications received after August 1st may or may not receive their membership card and privileges in time for the Fair.

The Society also administers a Scholarship Program. Scholarships are awarded to students who participate in the Erie County Fair and are enrolled in an accredited college. Students pursuing studies in the fields of agriculture, agri-business, ecology and environmental technology, family and consumer sciences, horticulture, forestry and natural resources, veterinary medicine or veterinarian technology are encouraged to apply as well as those with other career choices.

Because of your interest in the Fair, we know you are interested in continuing to build for the future. The Society’s Endowment Fund was established to have financial reserves in order to create resources necessary to carry on the objectives of the Fair. These funds are perpetuated through tax-deductible donations and can be made at any time. Your assistance is always welcome.

Thank you for your interest. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the Society at 716-649-3900, ext 6460.
