Do you love the Fair? Volunteer with us! The Friends of the Fair (FOF) is a volunteer organization full of dedicated, friendly people who share their time to help the Erie County Fair shine. Volunteers are the heart of the Fair and play a vital role in creating a welcoming experience for guests of all ages.
Why volunteer? You’ll help create unforgettable Fair experiences by:
- Answering guest questions
- Emceeing tram tours
- Working special events
- Providing hands-on agricultural experiences for kids
- And so much more!
Who can apply? Volunteer opportunities are open to high school students ages 14 and up. Teens and adults of any experience level are encouraged to explore opportunities with us! All prospective volunteers will be subject to a background check, additional checks may be added as deemed necessary.
What are the hours? The Erie County Fair takes place August 12-23, 2026. Volunteer shifts are typically four hours and generally run: 10:30am-2:30pm, 2:30pm-6:30pm & 6:30pm-10pm.

- Tram Tours
- Little Hands on the Farm
- Erie County Fairway Mini Golf
