Each year thousands of animals are exhibited at the Erie County Fair, and most of these animals do not stay for the entire 12 days of the Fair.
For the safety of the animals, exhibitors, and Fairgoers, the barns must be closed occasionally to allow animals to leave, barns to be cleaned, and new animals to come in. The barns will re-open to the public the following morning.
On days the barns close early for animals to leave, Barnyard Boulevard will be closed and tram service will be stopped.
