Security Checks For the comfort and safety of our guests there will be a security check at each of the gates as well as the entrance of the Grandstand. Guards will be checking fairgoers and their bags for items that may pose a threat to the health, safety or comfort of our other fairgoers. The checks will be similar to those to enter stadiums, arenas and theme parks. Due to the inclusion of these checks guests should be made aware that entering the Fair and Grandstand Events may take more time than previous years and therefore, should plan accordingly.

Tram Service The Erie County Fair will resume a tram service on the grounds.  Trams services will be discontinued at the discretion of the  Fair if it becomes unsafe to operate them due to heavy crowds or inclement weather.

WiFi Two WiFi hotspots are available on the Fairgrounds. They are located at the Lower Grandstand and the Outdoor Showplace and are FREE to our Fair guests.

Fair Safety Tips
#ThinkFair&Safe

#1 If You See Something- Say Something! Whether it is suspicious behavior, unsafe conditions or inappropriate actions of others, go with your gut and report it to the appropriate authorities

#2 Download the CodeRed app on your smartphone to receive safety and emergency alerts that can keep you and your family safe.

#3 Children can easily be separated in large crowds: take a photo of your child upon arriving at the Fair so security has a recent photo in case of emergency. Write your contact information on a sticker or wristband for children who cannot remember their own phone number. Visit the Masons (Event Center) or Erie County Sheriff's for a Child ID tag.

#4 In an emergency dial 911. Tell the dispatcher you are at the Erie County Fair and give as much detail as you can about your location on the grounds. Stay on the line and be prepared to give pertinent information.
