Is Erie County Fair affiliated with Erie County government?
No, it is not. The Erie County Agricultural Society is a not-for-profit, 501(c)3 organization. The name featuring "Erie County" was given after the Agricultural Society spun off of the Niagara County Agricultural Society in the mid 1800’s. The Society does not receive any county funds. The ECAS is the oldest membership organization in Western New York.
What are the Fair hours of operation?
Gates are open daily from 9am – 10:00pm, buildings are open from 10am – 10pm and the Midway operates from 11am – 11pm. Wednesday, August 7, gates, buildings and midway will open at 12pm.
Are there automotive services available on the Fairgrounds?
Yes, AAA is on site from Noon-10pm daily during the Fair. All Fair guests (AAA members and non-members) receive lockout, tire service, fuel delivery, and battery jump starts free of charge.* Ask a gate supervisor for help or call Fair Security at 649-3900 ext. 6234.
*Fair guests will be charged established AAA and non-member rates for battery installations, fuel cost on fuel delivery, and towaing servies to off-site locations. This offer is valid only during Fair attendance and within times of noon-10pm.
Are Tram Services available?
Yes. Tram service runs each day of the Fair on a limited schedule from the Family Entertainment Complex around to Gate 1A and back. The tram stops and service will be dependent on crowds.
How do I buy Grandstand tickets?
You will be able to purchase your tickets online at Tickets.com, in person at the Fairgrounds Main Office Monday through Friday 9:00am-4:30pm (located inside the Grandstand Building) or charge by phone at 1-888-223-6000. The Grandstand Ticket Office is open during the Fair from 9:00am-9:00pm.
Does my Grandstand ticket include admission to the Fair?
Yes. Tickets purchased in advance for all concerts and grandstand events include FREE admission to the Fair on the day of the show. Your admission ticket and your Grandstand Event ticket are one in the same. Present this ticket at an any admission gate, but hold onto the ticket, as you will need it for admission into the Grandstand later in the day.
Are cameras allowed into concerts?
Cameras are allowed as long as they are not professional cameras with a telephoto lens and they do not obstruct others in their use. Video recording equipment is not allowed. Some artists may have additional requirements for camera use. In this case patrons will be advised ahead of the show.
Are umbrellas allowed into the concerts?
No. Umbrellas are not welcome into the Grandstand as it obstructs guests from seeing the show. Some of the General Admission/Grandstand seats are covered, however, the track seats are not. Guests are encouraged to keep an eye on the weather on the day of the event and dress accordingly.
What time do gates open for concerts?
Gates typically open anywhere from one hour to 90 minutes before the show. Remember, Grandstand/General Admission seats are first come first serve, so plan to arrive at the show early to pick your seat. There are three grandstand entrances. Guests may find shorter lines at the East (across from Gate 1) and West entrances (near Lower Grandstand) to the Grandstand.
Are my seats covered?
If you have seats on the Track, they are not covered. Grandstand/General Admission seats are mostly under cover. However, there are sections of bleachers that are not. Umbrellas are not permitted in the Grandstand therefore, guests are reminded to dress accordingly.
What can I bring into the Grandstand?
You may bring bags, food and beverages into the Grandstand. You are also allowed to bring cameras as long as there is not a professional lens attached. All bags are subject to a security check upon entering the Grandstand. Guests are asked to pack light to expedite the security check process.
