Is Erie County Fair affiliated with Erie County government?

No, it is not. The Erie County Agricultural Society is a not-for-profit, 501(c)3 organization. The name featuring "Erie County" was given after the Agricultural Society spun off of the Niagara County Agricultural Society in the mid 1800’s. The Society does not receive any county funds. The ECAS is the oldest membership organization in Western New York.

What are the Fair hours of operation?

Gates are open daily from 9am – 10:00pm, buildings are open from 10am – 10pm and the Midway operates from 11am – 11pm. Wednesday, August 7, gates, buildings and midway will open at 12pm.

When is Opening Day this year?

Wednesday - August 7, 2019; Gates open at 12:00 noon

What are the Fair dates?

August 7-18, 2019

What is the price of parking?

Passenger Cars, SUVs & Personal Mini Vans; $5 Everyday

How much does it cost to rent electric carts, wheelchairs, strollers and wagons?

Rentals are available on a first-come first-serve basis at Gate #2 (enter off of McKinley Parkway), Gate #4 (enter off South Park Ave - Rte. 62), Gate 4A (inside the front lobby of the Event Center) and Gate #5 (enter off Clark Street).

Are coolers allowed on The Fairgrounds?

Yes, as long as they do not contain glass bottles or alcohol.

When are ride wristbands available?

Wristbands to ride the James E Strates Shows Midway will be available starting July 1. Check back for more details.

How many credits do the rides take?

Each ride averages 5-10 credits. Individual ride credits cost $0.50 each.

Are pets allowed on The Fairgrounds?

No, pets are not allowed on The Fairgrounds.

Are group ticket sales available?

Yes. Please contact The Fairgrounds at 716-649-3900 ext. 6413.

Where do you find medical attention at the Fair?

The First Aid Station is located in the rear of The Security Building near Hickory Tree Park.

Where can I get a list of daily events?

Is Canadian Money Exchange available?

Yes, at the Ticket Office located behind the Grandstand from between the hours of 9am – 8pm only during the dates of the Erie County Fair.

Where are ATMs located on the Fairgrounds?

Inside both lobbies of the Event Center, outside the Carousel Room, Hamburg Gaming, Kiddieland, Food Court, East Grandstand, inside all gates, and the Marketplace.

Are Tram Services available?

Yes. Tram service runs each day of the Fair on a limited schedule from the Family Entertainment Complex around to Gate 1A and back. The tram stops and service will be dependent on crowds.

Is Hamburg Gaming open their regular hours during the Fairs?

Absolutely! The Gaming Center will continue their regular hours of 8am-4am throughout the Fair.

Do I have to pay a Fair admission if I’m going to Hamburg Gaming?

Not if you are only going to Hamburg Gaming; however, if you plan on attending the Fair after Hamburg Gaming, you will need an admission ticket.

Where can I park if I am going to Hamburg Gaming during the Fair?

You may park in any lot located on The Fairgrounds; shuttle service is provided around the parking lots.

What Non-Fair events are happening on the Fairgrounds?

Visit www.the-fairgrounds.com to see a Calendar of Events happening year-round on the Fairgrounds.

Is there an interpreter available for shows?

Yes. Check back for their schedule.


How do I buy Grandstand tickets?

You will be able to purchase your tickets online at Tickets.com, in person at the Fairgrounds Main Office Monday through Friday 9:00am-4:30pm (located inside the Grandstand Building) or charge by phone at 1-888-223-6000. The Grandstand Ticket Office is open during the Fair from 9:00am-9:00pm.

Does my Grandstand ticket include admission to the Fair?

Yes. Tickets purchased in advance for all concerts and grandstand events include FREE admission to the Fair on the day of the show. Your admission ticket and your Grandstand Event ticket are one in the same. Present this ticket at an any admission gate, but hold onto the ticket, as you will need it for admission into the Grandstand later in the day.

Are cameras allowed into concerts?

Cameras are allowed as long as they are not professional cameras with a telephoto lens and they do not obstruct others in their use. Video recording equipment is not allowed. Some artists may have additional requirements for camera use. In this case patrons will be advised ahead of the show.

Are umbrellas allowed into the concerts?

No. Umbrellas are not welcome into the Grandstand as it obstructs guests from seeing the show. Some of the General Admission/Grandstand seats are covered, however, the track seats are not. Guests are encouraged to keep an eye on the weather on the day of the event and dress accordingly.

What time do gates open for concerts?

Gates typically open anywhere from one hour to 90 minutes before the show. Remember, Grandstand/General Admission seats are first come first serve, so plan to arrive at the show early to pick your seat. There are three grandstand entrances. Guests may find shorter lines at the East (across from Gate 1) and West entrances (near Lower Grandstand) to the Grandstand.

Are my seats covered?

If you have seats on the Track, they are not covered. Grandstand/General Admission seats are mostly under cover. However, there are sections of bleachers that are not. Umbrellas are not permitted in the Grandstand therefore, guests are reminded to dress accordingly.

What can I bring into the Grandstand?

You may bring bags, food and beverages into the Grandstand. You are also allowed to bring cameras as long as there is not a professional lens attached. All bags are subject to a security check upon entering the Grandstand. Guests are asked to pack light to expedite the security check process.

Why does my general admission ticket have a seat number?

The number is used by our box office to ensure we don't oversell our venue! If your general admission ticket has a seat number, please disregard and be prepared to choose your own seat once you arrive to the concert.
