Kids Cultivate Agriculture Pitch Contest

EMPOWERING THE NEXT GENERATION OF AGRICULTURAL INNOVATORS

Entering its second year, the Erie County Fair is thrilled to bring back Kids Cultivate, a youth pitch competition inviting ages 5–21 to share creative business ideas that support the future of agriculture.

Whether you’ve grown up around livestock or are just digging into agriculture, this contest is for you. Finalists will receive mentorship and pitch their ideas live on stage at the Fair on Thursday, August 20 for a chance to win cash prizes to put towards their ideas.

Applicants can submit ideas in a range of categories. from sustainability and education to farming innovation and livestock. All youth are encouraged to apply, no experience required!

Note: Applicants may not submit an idea that they presented on in the 2025 Ag Pitch contest.

Apply by midnight on May 1.

APPLICATION PROCESS
  • Hit the ‘Apply Now’ below to access the brief Google Form, including questions about your project and what you plan to do with the prize money.
  • At the end of the Google Form, applicants will be asked to submit a 1-3 minute pitch video. TIP: This can be a super simple "selfie mode" video.
  • Video should include key details like:
    • Introduction about yourself
    • Clear explanation of your project (Describe your idea. What does it do? How does it relate to agriculture?)
    • Rationale (Think: What problem is your project trying to solve? Who is your target audience? Why is this project a good idea?)
    • Why you deserve the prize money (if you win, how will it be used?)
  • A committee of judges will review applications and select a pool of finalists to move on to live pitch round on August 20.
