Dairy Farmer of the Year Nomination Information
The Erie County Fair in partnership with Milk For Health on The Niagara Frontier are seeking nominations for the WNY Dairy Farmers of the Year. We are striving to recognize dairy farmers who exhibit outstanding management of their dairy farm business and leadership in the WNY dairy industry or their community. Nominate a dairy farmer from any of the 8 counties of Western New York (Erie, Niagara, Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, Orleans, Genesee, Wyoming and Allegany). Distinctions will be awarded to farms owned for 26-50 years, 11-25 years and 10 years or less. The awardee(s) should be recognized by others in the WNY dairy industry for the successes of their dairy farm business and for their leadership.
Selection criteria follow below:
1) Nominees must be actively engaged in dairy farming. Where a joint partnership or corporations exist, the farm can be entered as a unit.
2) The nominees should be outstanding managers of a dairy farm operation and be considered by others in the dairy industry as being an elite dairy operation.
3) The nominees should have demonstrated leadership in dairy industry-related or community organizations.

The nomination form is a guideline for the information sought, but not all information is required for the nomination.
