The village is comprised of members of the original six nations who now refer to themselves as the Haudensaunee. The village offers native crafts, foods, demonstrations and shows. Members of the village perform traditional dances daily.

The theme for this year is “Warriors”.

For thousands of years, American Indians have protected their communities.A Warrior’s customary role, however, involved more than fighting.Warriors cared for families in need and helped during difficult times.They did anything to ensure their people’s survival, including laying down their lives.Many American Indians view service in the U.S. Armed Forces as a continuation of the customary role.

DAILY ACTIVITIES IN THE EDUCATION TENT:

+> LEE WILSON will be available to share her art in Stained Glass , she will be assessable for questions about the exhibit and help our little visitors with the MAKE N TAKE projects.

=> ELLIOTT TALLCHIEF will be available to share his knowledge of the Seneca People and the Headdress of the Iroquois Confederacy.

=> 3:00 PM and 6:00PM INDIGENOUS ATTRACTIONS will present … Seneca Story telling with Puppets under the EDUCATION TENT

Artist that will be in the Education tent from 2:00 pm till 7:00 pm.

WEDNESDAY: AUGUST 9TH, WILLIAM LOGAN will be demonstrating the art of wood working /carving

THURSDAY: AUGUST 10TH, LEE WILSON will be demonstrating the art of Stained Glass

FRIDAY: AUGUST 11TH, BAPTICE JOHN will be demonstrating the art of wood carving and wood burning

SATURDAY: AUGUST 12TH, SIERRA PARKER will be demonstrating the art of making Cornhusk flowers also ANTOINETTE SCOTT will be demonstrating the art of making Corn Husk Doll

SUNDAY: AUGUST 13TH,JOYCE MARTIN will be demonstrating the art of….Along with LYLE LOGANdemonstrating the art of painting

MONDAY: AUGUST 14TH, VIVIAN BRADLEY will be demonstrating the art of Raised Beadwork

TUESDAY: AUGUST 15TH, EVELYN GEORGE-SHONGO will be demonstrating the art of making Moccasins

WEDNESDAY: AUGUST 16TH, BRADLEY JIMERSON will be demonstrating painting

THURSDAY: AUGUST 17TH, YOLANDA SMITH will be demonstrating the art of Herbs and natural plants for medicinal

FRIDAY: AUGUST 18TH, JODY CLARK will be demonstrating pottery

SATURDAY the IROQUIOS INDIAN BAND will be preforming on the TURTLE MOUND at 2:00 pm.

SATURDAY renowned Dance Troup lead by DARICE SAMPSON will be performing the HOOP DANCE

SUNDAY: AUGUST 20TH, JOHN MCLAUGHLIN will be demonstrating the art of painting
