Do you have what it takes to perform before thousands of Fairgoers at The Buffalo News Grandstand? The Erie County Fair is seeking talented vocalists to perform "The Star-Spangled Banner" prior to grandstand events during the Best 12 Days of Summer, August 12–23, 2026.
Applicants are invited to submit an audition video for a chance to be selected as one of this year's National Anthem performers. A panel of judges will review all eligible submissions and select performers based on vocal ability, presentation, and overall performance quality.How to Enter
- Complete the online application form.
- Upload a video of yourself performing the full National Anthem ("The Star-Spangled Banner") in one continuous take.
- Submit your entry by July 15, 2026.
Eligibility
- Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
- Applicants must be available to perform one day during the Erie County Fair, August 12–23, 2026.
If Selected
- Performers will sing the National Anthem a cappella prior to an assigned grandstand event.
- Performance dates will be assigned based on availability and scheduling needs.
- Selected performers will receive two Erie County Fair admission tickets for the day of their performance. Admission tickets do not include access to paid grandstand events, including ticketed concerts and motor events.
- Winners will receive additional information regarding arrival times and performance logistics prior to their assigned date.
