Flag Retreat Ceremony

The 186th Erie County Fair will honor Veterans and Active Military during its daily flag retreat ceremony at Slade Park. Now in its eighth year, this patriotic tradition will begin on Wednesday, August 12th at 6:30pm and continue each evening during the 12-day run of the Fair.

Recipients must be available one day of the Fair, August 12-23, 2026 from 6-7pm.
Those chosen will receive an America Flag, 4 Fair admission passes, parking pass, Strates Shows ride card, $20 in meal vouchers as well as an American Flag proudly provided by Ace Flag and a special commemorative gift courtesy of Yuengling. Ceremony takes place rain or shine.

If chosen, the Erie County Fair will contact the nominator first.
